Kelvin Yeboah

Kelvin Yeboah is a professional footballer who plays as a forward for Minnesota United in Major League Soccer (MLS). Born in Ghana and raised in Italy, he is the nephew of former Black Stars striker Tony Yeboah. In November 2026, after a strong MLS season, his representatives said he was ready to play for Ghana.

Early life

Kelvin Kwarteng Yeboah was born in Accra on 6 May 2000 and grew up in Italy. He came through the academy of West Ham United and later the youth set-up of Italian side Gozzano. He trialled with Danish club Aalborg in November 2017 and finished that season with AC London in England's Combined Counties League, scoring six goals in 19 games.

Club career

In June 2018 he signed for WSG Tirol in Austria and helped the club win the Austrian Second Division in 2018-19. On 25 September 2019 he scored four goals in a 5-2 Austrian Cup win over Austria Wien. He joined Sturm Graz in February 2021 and Serie A club Genoa in January 2022. After Genoa's relegation he went on loan to FC Augsburg in Germany (2023), Montpellier in France (2023-24) and Standard Liege in Belgium (2024).

On 27 July 2024 he signed for Minnesota United on a three-and-a-half-year deal as a Designated Player. Reports in November 2026 credited him with 18 goals in the season and described him as the club's all-time leading scorer.

International career

Yeboah was called up by Ghana's under-20 side in January 2019 and by the senior Black Stars in August 2021 for World Cup qualifiers against Ethiopia and South Africa. He turned down that call to play for Italy's under-21 team instead, making his debut against Luxembourg on 3 September 2021. As he has no senior cap for Italy, he remains eligible for Ghana, and on 4 November 2026 his agency said he was available for a Black Stars call-up.
