Nana Aba Anamoah

Nana Aba Anamoah was named TV News Anchor of the Year four times, in 2004, 2008, 2012 and 2017. She now runs stations rather than reading the news on them, as General Manager of GHOne TV and Starr FM.

Early life and education

She was born Rosemond Nana Aba McEwan-Anamoah on 19 June 1980. She attended Ghana National College and began studying medicine, leaving when she became pregnant. She later studied development finance at the University of Ghana Business School and banking and finance at GIMPA, and took an executive leadership course at Harvard Kennedy School.

Broadcasting

She made her name on TV3 as a news presenter and host of The Divas Show, then moved to the EIB Network, where she became General Manager of GHOne TV and Starr 103.5 FM and director of business development. She was TV Personality of the Year at the Radio and Television Personality Awards in 2017 and 2019.

Women's football and Women of Valour

In April 2016 she was named an ambassador for women's football in Ghana, and she later joined the Women's Premier League committee. Her Women of Valour conference brings together women leaders; its fourth edition was held in London on 7 March 2026 with speakers including Nana Ama McBrown and Kate Henshaw.

Charity and family

She launched the Hearts Wide Open foundation on 25 January 2022. She has a son, Jyotir, who studies in the United States.
