Serwaa Amihere

GHOne TV anchor Serwaa Amihere surprised many in October 2025 when she announced that she had finished the Ghana School of Law and been called to the Bar. She had kept her law studies largely to herself.

Background

She was born on 8 March 1990, the eldest child of Frank Yeboah and Lydia Tetteh. She attended Yaa Asantewaa Secondary School, read banking and finance at Methodist University College, and earned a second-class upper law degree at GIMPA.

Television

She began as producer of State of Affairs, the current affairs show hosted by Nana Aba Anamoah. She now reads the news on GHOne TV and presents Cheers, its weekend sports programme. She has won the RTP Awards prize for best TV newscaster three years in a row, a first for a Ghanaian.

Business and charity

She owns the Oh My Hair beauty salon and the Office and Co brand, and in 2025 she and her sister Mavis opened a new building for them in East Legon. She has been an ambassador for AMOR contraceptives and Flora Tissues, and runs the Serwaa Amihere Foundation. She is a mother to a daughter, Naana.
