Senior Man Layla

Seniorman Layla is a Ghanaian comedian and TikTok creator with nearly two million followers. His stage name was inspired by the Junka Town comedy series, which he watched and admired before starting his own skits.

Beginnings

He has spoken about living in an uncompleted building with no roof before moving to Breman, his mother's hometown, where his online career took off. He shot his early skits on an iPhone 5 he had received as a gift. One of them, a video about soaking gari, went viral and brought him his first large audience.

Comedy

He has collaborated with well-known creators including Dr Likee.

Success

In 2024 he was seen driving a 2021 Range Rover, which set off online debate about how much Ghanaian content creators earn and how quickly some have moved from hardship to comfort.
