Blessed Godsbrain Smart, universally known as Captain Smart, is one of Ghana's most recognisable and combative broadcasters, a radio and television personality whose fiery morning shows have made him a household name and a lightning rod in national debate. Born on 5 May 1975 in a village in the Eastern Region of Ghana, he has built a career on outspoken commentary, populist advocacy and a willingness to confront the powerful.

Smart's broadcasting journey began at Fox FM in Kumasi and continued through stations including OTEC FM, Kesewa Radio and Nhyira FM within the Multimedia network. He first gained wide fame through Adom FM and Adom TV's popular morning segment Dwaso Nsem, where his blunt delivery and readiness to challenge officials earned him both a devoted following and frequent controversy. His style, mixing local-language passion with sharp criticism of corruption and misgovernance, set him apart in Ghana's crowded airwaves.

In June 2021 he joined Onua TV and Onua FM, subsidiaries of Media General, where he became host of the morning programme Onua Maakye.
