Kojo Vypa (born Desmond Prince Owusu) is a Ghanaian rapper and lyricist known for hard-hitting verses and energetic delivery. He signed with CheckZone Family in 2020 and was nominated for Unsung Artiste of the Year at the 2025 Ghana Music Awards.
Career
His first single, Grenade, came out in 2020, followed by MOE and Something Is Coming in 2022. His lyrics deal with pain, struggle, hope and grace, drawing on his own life and on life in Ghana's coastal cities.
He released Big Dawson in 2024, along with singles such as Location and My Way. His 2025 EP, Inspiration from Pains, was praised for its raw emotion, and he followed it with Sunsum (2025) and 3am Thoughts (2026).
