He was born on 28 November 1972 under the name Jafari Ferguson. In 2005 he released the comedy album Modasucka: Welcome to America, appeared on 30 Rock and HBO's P. Diddy Presents the Bad Boys of Comedy, and did a commercial for Chappelle's Show. In 2011 he was on Martin Lawrence Presents 1st Amendment Stand-Up and Shaquille O'Neal Presents All Star Comedy Jam, and in 2019 he appeared in Akon's "Wakonda" video. He became a US citizen in November 2021. The NFL cornerback Eli Apple is his nephew.
