Nana Agradaa

Nana Agradaa, a former traditional priestess turned evangelist, was released from Nsawam Prison in March 2026 after eight months in custody, when an appeal greatly reduced the 15-year sentence a Circuit Court had handed her in July 2025.

From shrine to church

Patricia Asiedu Oduro Koranteng, also called Mama Pat, became known as a priestess for "sika gari", a ritual she claimed could multiply money and advertised on television from her shrine at Sowutuom, Accra. In April 2021 she announced her conversion to Christianity, said she had destroyed her ritual items, and set up Heaven Way Church as Evangelist Patricia Oduro Koranteng. She is married to Angel Asiamah, a minister.

Legal cases

Her Thunder TV and Ice1 TV stations were raided and shut in April 2021 for broadcasting without licences, and she was fined GH₵46,000 that year for charlatanic advertising and running an unlicensed station. In October 2022 she was arrested over allegations that she had taken money from church members with promises to double it. In July 2025 an Accra Circuit Court convicted her of charlatanic advertisement and defrauding by false pretences. Her lawyers appealed to the High Court, which cut the sentence, leading to her release in 2026.
