Yaa Jackson

Maame Yaa Konadu Jackson Bentum, known professionally as Yaa Jackson, was born on 18 October 2000 in Kumasi, Ghana. She is the daughter of Kumawood film producer Jackson K. Bentum and his wife Lydia Konadu Bentum, a lineage that placed her inside the industry almost from birth. Her father first brought her to a film set when she was two years old, and she was cast in her first role shortly after, making her one of the youngest people ever to debut in Ghanaian cinema.

Over the years that followed, Yaa Jackson appeared in over one hundred Kumawood productions, growing up on screen in a way that few Ghanaian actresses have experienced.
