Cabum, born Frank Kwame Gyasi-Frimpong on 15 June 1985, is a rapper from Kumasi and a son of the highlife musician Alhaji K. Frimpong and Joyce Asabia Frimpong.
Career
After two years of grinding he signed to Rock Entertainment and worked with managers including Andy Kem and Yaw Sarpong-Kumankuma. His debut studio album is The Beginning, and his singles include Dodoodo, Atingya, Style Bea Be and To Be a Man. He has also produced for others, including AJ Nelson's Innuendo.
Most of his records open or close with his catchphrase, which translates as "cherish it", his way of telling listeners to take the lyrics seriously. He has shared a stage with Angelique Kidjo and Youssou N'Dour at the Mo Ibrahim Freedom Concert.
