DJ Vyrusky

DJ Vyrusky, born Kofi Amoako, is one of Ghana's most decorated DJs. He went from playing campus parties at the University of Ghana to working as a DJ at Starr FM and touring with some of the country's biggest acts.

Education

He studied science at St. Thomas Aquinas Senior High School, then earned a BSc in administration (insurance) and a master's in risk management and insurance at the University of Ghana Business School.

From campus to radio

He started as the resident DJ at TymeOut, the University of Ghana student hangout, and played EchoHouse and Lynx Entertainment events. He worked as commercial media manager at EchoHouse before going full-time in 2014. By 2013 he was resident at Club 45 in Accra, and that year he won Discovery of the Year at the first Ghana DJ Awards. At Starr FM he played on Club Arena and then on Starr Drive with Bola Ray.

Artiste DJ

In late 2015 he became MzVee's official DJ, and in early 2016 Shatta Wale took him on his UK tour. He also releases his own records built on highlife, starting with Number featuring Ko-Jo Cue and Kuami Eugene, then Adwenfi with Shatta Wale and Kuami Eugene, and Never Carry Last with Mayorkun and Kuami Eugene.
