DopeNation

DopeNation is a duo of identical twins, Michael Boafo (B2) and Tony Boafo (Twist), who first made their name as producers and then as artists. Their production credits include Shatta Wale's Kpuu Kpaa, Joey B's Wow and Sebgefia, Ebony Reigns' Poison and Pappy Kojo's Nana Ama.

Early life

The twins were born in Accra and grew up in Abeka before moving to Takoradi, where they attended Ghana Secondary Technical School and Sekondi College. They returned to Accra for tertiary studies at the University of Ghana and Ghana Technology University College.

Producers

E.L introduced them to production in 2012 and mentored them. They have since produced for E.L, Shatta Wale, Joey B, Pappy Kojo, Eazzy, Flowking Stone, Fameye, and Nigerian stars Olamide and Tekno. In 2021 they introduced the visually impaired singer Adelaide The Seer and produced her singles.

Artists

Their first single, Bebia Ye Shi, came in 2016, followed by Uh Huh and the self-produced Eish in 2018. Naami, with Olamide and DJ Enimoney, and the dance hit Zanku were big hits, and the duo was named Group of the Year at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards in 2020. They released Atta Album in 2021, along with Music and Dance, a joint EP with the dancers Dancegod Lloyd and Afrobeast.
