Dobble
Music Duo
About Dobble
Dobble's song "Christy" won Most Popular Song of the Year at the 2017 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, even though the duo had already stopped working together.
The duo
The Accra hiplife and highlife act paired Nana Kwasi Aryeh, known as Paa Kwasi, with Gideon Edu Gyamfi, known as Nana Yaw. "Walai Talai", released in 2010 on Phibi Records, became a big hit and made them one of Ghana's best-known duos. Later releases included "Christy" (2016), "Tres Bien" (2015), "Gud Mood" (2014), "Ole Seke" (2013) and the 2012 pair "Wop3 Eyi" and "Ee Mana", plus "Otan Hunu", "Spark Ma Moto", "Deepest Side" with Shatta Wale and "Wat Can Come Can Come" with Bisa Kdei.
Split
The group fell apart when Nana Yaw stopped turning up to shows and told friends he was preparing a solo career. Paa Kwasi went on as a solo highlife act.
