In 2017 Vogue chose Darkovibes as one of the faces of style at Accra's Chale Wote street art festival. The singer's coloured hair, side bags and 1980s references are as much part of his act as his music, which experiments across highlife, hip-hop and rap.

Paul Nii Amu Andrew Darko was born in 1995. His 2016 single "Mercy" brought him attention, and that year he wrote and performed the theme for MTN's Pulse campaign. A verse on Edem's "Egboame" remix earned a hip-hop song nomination at the 2017 Ghana Music Awards. He is a member of La Meme Gang alongside $pacely, RJZ and Kiddblack, which released La Meme Tape in 2017. He has also worked with Omar Sterling, Joey B, Efya, Stonebwoy on "Stay Woke" and KiDi on "Bless Me".
His albums are Kpanlogo (2020) and Butifly (2023). Earlier singles include "Shuga", "Siamese", "Tomorrow", "Placebo" and "Bo Nor".
