Diana Hamilton

Diana Hamilton is one of the most celebrated gospel voices Ghana has produced, a UK-based singer and worship leader whose richly melodic songs have made her a beloved figure across the Ghanaian Christian community at home and in the diaspora.

Early life

She was born Diana Antwi on 4 December 1978, the daughter of a Church of Pentecost apostle. She was educated in Accra and Cape Coast and trained as a nurse at Komfo Anokye before music became her life's work. Her journey began at thirteen as a backing singer for the gospel artist Francis Agyei.

Career

Her debut album Osoro Be Kasa was a hit in Ghana in 2007, and its follow-up Ensi Wo Yie widened her audience. Based in the United Kingdom, she has served as music director of the Church of Pentecost UK's resident choir, and built a devoted following through songs of worship and gratitude.

Awards

Her career reached a peak in 2021, when her song Adom won her both Artiste of the Year and Gospel Artiste of the Year at the Ghana Music Awards, a rare feat for a gospel act. She has also collected multiple African Gospel Awards and Ghana Music Awards Europe honours.
