About Joseph Cudjoe
Joseph Cudjoe is a mathematician and investment specialist who represented Effia, in the Sekondi-Takoradi area of the Western Region, for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) from 2013 to 2025. He was born in Effia on 2 October 1964.
From teaching to COCOBOD
Cudjoe studied mathematics at KNUST and took an MBA in finance at the University of Ghana. He taught maths at Archbishop Porter Girls' Secondary School in 1995 and lectured at Takoradi Polytechnic until 2000. He then moved into finance, working for Eno International and SEM International, before spending eight years, from 2004 to 2012, as investment manager at the Ghana Cocoa Board.
Parliament
He won Effia in 2012 and served three terms. In the 2024 NPP primary he lost to Isaac Yaw Boamah-Nyarko, who went on to win the seat. He is married with three children.
