About Joses Asare-Akoto
Joses Asare-Akoto is a pastor who represented Asuogyaman in the Eastern Region for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) from 2009 to 2013. He was born on 25 December 1950 and comes from Akwamufie.
He studied at City and Guilds College and pastored the Church of Philadelphia International. After standing as an independent in 2004, he won Asuogyaman for the NDC in 2008 with 51.3 percent of the vote, beating the sitting NPP MP Kofi Osei-Ameyaw by about 1,100 votes. Osei-Ameyaw beat him in turn in 2012. He is married with five children. Thomas Nyarko Ampem of the NDC holds Asuogyaman today.
