About Kofi Osei-Ameyaw
Kofi Osei-Ameyaw is a lawyer and businessman who represented Asuogyaman in the Eastern Region for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) twice, from 2005 to 2009 and from 2013 to 2017. He was born on 20 February 1960 and comes from Gyakiti in Akwamu.
He studied law at Macquarie University in Sydney, graduating in 1985, and founded Lloyds International College in Sydney. In Ghana he has chaired Mirage Royal Apartments and the Careshare Foundation, and by 2020 was director-general of the Association of Lotto Marketing Companies. He won Asuogyaman in 2004, lost it by about 1,100 votes in 2008 to Joses Asare-Akoto of the NDC, and took it back in 2012 with 51.3 percent. Thomas Nyarko Ampem of the NDC won the seat in 2016 and holds it today. He is married with two children.
