About Kojo Adu Asare
Kojo Adu Asare is a businessman and National Democratic Congress (NDC) activist who represented Adenta in the Greater Accra Region from 2009 to 2013. He was born on 30 June 1966 and comes from Abiriw in Akuapem.
He was chief executive of Vital Concepts, with branches in Ghana, Sierra Leone and Guinea. He won Adenta in 2008 with 20,230 votes, unseating the NPP's Kwadjo Opare-Hammond, and lost the NDC primary in January 2012 to Emmanuel Nii Ashie Moore. He later worked as a presidential staffer and has remained a prominent voice in the party; in 2025 he said he intended to run for the NDC flagbearer post ahead of the 2028 election. Mohammed Adamu Ramadan of the NDC holds Adenta today.
