Kwabena Bobie Ansah

Kwabena Bobie Ansah is a Ghanaian radio presenter and political commentator. He hosts The Citizen Show on Accra FM, a station of the Class Media Group, and is known for outspoken commentary on politics and entertainment.

Career

Bobie Ansah previously worked with Multimedia Group's Asempa FM. In December 2018 he spoke publicly about his exit from the station, putting it down to "hate" and "envy". He later moved to Accra FM, where his late-night programme The Citizen Show has made him one of the station's best-known voices.

2022 arrest

On 10 February 2022 he was picked up after his show by people described as security operatives and held at the Nima Police Station. The police said he had been arrested over alleged publication of false news and offensive conduct, and that he had ignored several invitations to assist an investigation; Class Media Group's management said he had never been invited. He pleaded not guilty before the Kaneshie Circuit Court, which granted him bail of GH₵50,000 and adjourned the case to 14 March 2022.

Stonebwoy apology

In late October 2026 he said on air that he preferred Shatta Wale to Stonebwoy, arguing that Shatta Wale speaks his mind while Stonebwoy keeps his feelings to himself, and he also remarked on Stonebwoy's facial expressions. Stonebwoy called the comments disrespectful in a post on X. On 30 October 2026 Bobie Ansah apologised, saying he had not meant to attack Stonebwoy personally and describing him as "a legend in his own right". He said he apologised because Stonebwoy was hurt, not because of insults from the artiste's fans.
