Tic Tac

TiC, formerly Tic Tac, gave the Black Stars their goal celebration at the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations: the players danced to his 2006 hit "Kangaroo". He has won eleven Ghana Music Awards, including Musician of the Year in 2004.

Kwamo to Natty Strangers

Nana Kwaku Okyere Duah is from Kwamo in the Ashanti Region. In 1997 he formed Natty Strangers with his best friend Bessem Bikhazi, known as Cold Sweat, and the pair won prizes at Kiddafest, Fun World and other youth shows. When Bikhazi left to train as a commercial pilot in the UK, TiC went solo; Bikhazi later came back as his manager. Early on he styled himself after Busta Rhymes.

Hits

A guest verse on Azigiza's "Woye Bia" widened his audience, and his first album, Philomena, came out in 1999. "Menka Bio (Shordy)", from his third album Masem, spent a then-record 22 weeks at the top of the Ghana chart in 2002 and 2003. His fourth album, Wope, brought in Freddy Meiway of Côte d'Ivoire and Nigeria's Tony Tetuila, and Accra Connection featured Sway, Rhian Benson, D'banj and JJC. The Gil Green-directed "Kangaroo" video topped MTV Base Africa's chart. He had a record nine nominations at the 2005 Ghana Music Awards, and in 2018 released "Kwani Kwani" with Kuami Eugene. He has played shows with 50 Cent, Buju Banton and Kanda Bongo Man.
