About Tinny

Tinny made his name rapping in Ga at a time when most hiplife was in Twi. His 2003 debut "Makola Kwakwe" brought him New Artiste of the Year at the 2004 Ghana Music Awards.

Osu boy

Nii Addo Quaynor was born in Osu on 19 January 1982, the youngest of six children of Ricky Tetteh Quaynor and Naa Badu Quaynor, and grew up between Osu and La. He attended Osu Home School, Hepter International School at Akim Oda, Osu Salem JSS and Okuapeman School, where he was entertainment prefect. From the age of eight he sang and rapped at parties, and from 1994 he performed at Fun-World, the Sunday youth show at the National Theatre.

Into hiplife

He first performed as Black Nature, then formed Nature and Agony with Salam and Buke, managed by his father; the other two later left. Going solo, he won an Ecstasy Promotions talent show, and while at Okuapeman his father booked him studio time with Hammer of The Last Two, which made him one of the Last Two "foot soldiers". Hammer got him a deal with Abraham Ohene-Djan of OM Studios, and he adopted Tinny, his real first name, as his stage name. He has released five studio albums.
