About John Gyetuah
John Gyetuah was an educationist who represented Amenfi West in the Western Region for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) from 2009 until his death in October 2015. He was born at Asankran Breman on 1 October 1959.
He studied sociology at the University of Cape Coast and governance at GIMPA, and was a senior superintendent with the Ghana Education Service. He won Amenfi West in 2008 with 57.7 percent of the vote and was re-elected in 2012. Under President Mills he served as Deputy Minister for Trade and Industry and then as a Minister of State at the Presidency. He died on 13 October 2015 during his second term. He was a Methodist, married to Veronica Gyetuah, with seven children. Eric Afful of the NDC succeeded him in 2017 and holds the seat today.
