About Alex Kofi Agyekum
Alex Kofi Agyekum is a teacher who represented Mpohor in the Western Region for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for two terms, from 2013 to 2021. He was born on 18 August 1962.
He studied at the University of Cape Coast, where he was a teaching and research assistant, and has a master's in educational management. He spent twenty years at Holy Child School in Cape Coast, heading the economics department and then serving as assistant headmaster from 2003 to 2013. He won Mpohor in 2012 and 2016, and in the Seventh Parliament chaired the Youth, Sports and Culture Committee, which took up questions about the Ghana Football Association. He is a Methodist, married with four children. Godfred Henry Bentil of the NDC holds Mpohor today.
