About Alexander Gyan
Alexander Gyan is a former district chief executive who represented Kintampo South in the Bono East Region for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) from 2021 to 2025. He was born on 26 March 1980 and comes from Ampoma.
DCE turned MP
Gyan trained in agricultural education and was District Chief Executive for Kintampo South before running for Parliament. His time as DCE drew one well-publicised complaint: in October 2020 the opposition NDC criticised him for presenting the district's best farmer award to his own father.
Supporting exam candidates
As MP he sat on the Government Assurance and Communications committees. In November 2021 he laid on free meals and transport for about 1,357 BECE candidates in the constituency.
