Alfred Abayateye

Alfred Wallace Gbordzor Abayateye is an accountant and banker who represented Sege in the Greater Accra Region for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for two terms, from 2005 to 2013. He comes from Anyamam near Ada.

He studied accounting at the University of Ghana and worked at the Bank of Ghana, where he became a deputy manager. He won Sege in 2004 and again in 2008 with 64.9 percent of the vote, then lost the NDC primary in 2012 to Christian Corletey Otuteye, who held the seat for the next three terms. He worships with the Presbyterian Church and is married with six children. Daniel Keshi Bessey of the NDC holds Sege today.
