About Yaw Effah-Baafi
Yaw Effah-Baafi is an agriculturalist who represented Kintampo South for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for four terms, from 2001 to 2017, and served as a Deputy Minister for Food and Agriculture and for Chieftaincy and Traditional Affairs. He was born at Tanfiano No. 2 on 21 September 1955.
Effah-Baafi studied agriculture at KNUST, graduating in 1985, and took administration and governance qualifications at GIMPA. He was regional coordinator for on-farm trials at the Ministry of Food and Agriculture and chaired the board of Kintampo Rural Bank. He worships at the Church of Pentecost and is married with five children. Felicia Adjei of the NDC holds Kintampo South today.
