He won Tema Central in 2020 with about 65 percent of the vote and became vice-chair of Parliament's Environment, Science and Technology Committee. His time in the House ended at the 2024 primaries, when Charles Forson beat him for the NPP ticket by 420 votes to 288. Forson went on to win the seat.
