Women's football

She has also been endorsed as chair of the management committee of the Black Queens, the senior women's national team, and has supported the Black Princesses ahead of international tournaments.

Court case

In October 2025 the Attorney-General charged Oware-Mensah in connection with alleged "ghost names" on the National Service Authority's payroll system, in a case involving about GH₵38 million. She pleaded not guilty to the charges, which include stealing and money laundering, and was granted bail of GH₵10 million with three sureties. The Supreme Court later dismissed an application seeking to halt her trial at the High Court. The case is ongoing, and she is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
