About Mahama Asei Seini
Mahama Asei Seini is a former tax official who represented Daboya-Mankarigu in the Savannah Region for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) from 2021 to 2025 and served as a Deputy Minister for Health. He was born on 15 November 1960 in Daboya.
Seini studied economics and law, graduating in 1992, and rose to chief revenue officer at the Ghana Revenue Authority. In 2020 he unseated the NDC's Shaibu Mahama with about 60 percent of the vote. He sat on the Gender and Children and the Food, Agriculture and Cocoa Affairs committees before joining the health ministry as deputy. Shaibu Mahama won the seat back in 2024.
