About Masawud Mohammed
Masawud Mohammed is a teacher and former district chief executive who represented Pru West in the Bono East Region for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) from 2013 to 2021. He was born at Prang on 1 April 1971.
Mohammed holds a bachelor's and a master's degree in education from the University of Cape Coast. He taught at Atebubu College of Education and served as District Chief Executive for Pru before winning Pru West in 2012. He held it in 2016 but lost in 2020 to the NPP's Stephen Pambiin Jalulah. He is married with four children. Emmanuel Kofi Ntekuni won the seat back for the NDC in 2024.
