Pappy Kojo

"Realer No", his 2014 track with Joey B, made Pappy Kojo a name in Ghanaian rap and won Hip Hop Song of the Year at the 2015 Ghana Music Awards.

Takoradi to Italy

Born Jason Gaisie on 13 February 1989, he grew up in Takoradi; his mother is Rosemond Gaisie. He was at Ridge International School until 2004, when he moved to Italy to live with his mother. As a boy he rapped at local shows, copying Obrafour, Tic Tac, Reggie Rockstone and Lord Kenya. In Italy he posted covers on YouTube and began recording with Italian and Ghanaian producers.

Records

After "Realer No" he travelled with Joey B to South Africa for a performance at the Big Brother finale, and he was nominated for Best Newcomer at AFRIMMA. Later singles include "Ay3 Late" with Sarkodie, "2 Raw" with Edem, "Deja Vu" with Jiggy, "Green Means Go" with RJZ and "Awo'a". His first album, Logos II, came out on 12 March 2021 with guests from Ghana and abroad, among them Sarkodie, Phyno, Medikal, Kofi Kinaata, Fameye, Busiswa, Kwami Eugene and Kwesi Arthur.
