About Patapaa
Patapaa (born Justice Amoah) is a Ghanaian hiplife musician and songwriter from Swedru in the Central Region. He is best known for One Corner, the 2017 dance song that became one of the most talked-about records in Ghana and earned him Ghana Music Awards nominations.
Early life
He was born in Swedru, the eldest of three children. Before One Corner he released songs such as Akwaaba, Pozo and Na Abon, which drew little attention outside his home area.
Career
One Corner was nominated for Most Popular Song of the Year and Song of the Year at the 2018 Ghana Music Awards. The same year he featured with Mr Eazi and Pappy Kojo on Guiltybeatz's Akwaaba, which became a hit well beyond Ghana. In 2019 he was named Artiste of the Year at the Central Music Awards in Cape Coast.
He released the album Pa2Pa Scopatumana in 2019 and has kept up a steady flow of singles since, including Otetafo Reloaded and Sika Wo Borlar So (2021) and Egya Nyame (2022).
