Selorm Betepe

Selorm Betepe built the signage and branding company Seloart from a roadside sign-writing stand he opened in 2005 with money from his mother.

Growth

A rainstorm destroyed his first structure, and sales were slow until a branding job for a beer brand, arranged through a contact at the brewery, kept the business going. In 2008 he rented a shop at Achimota for GH¢3,000. More recently he built a free, fully furnished 30-bed hostel with power and water for his workers to cut their transport costs.
