About Charles Acheampong
Charles Acheampong is a telecommunications engineer who represented Lower West Akim in the Eastern Region for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) from 2021 to 2025. He was born on 9 May 1981 and comes from Osenase.
He holds a master's in wireless communication and was a manager at the National Communications Authority. He won Lower West Akim in 2020 with 27,527 votes to 19,744 for the NDC's Michael Adu-Sei, and sat on the Public Accounts and Communications committees. He has also served on the board of the Ghana News Agency. Owen Kwame Frimpong of the NDC holds the seat today.
