Francis Manu-Adabor

Francis Manu-Adabor is a licensed land surveyor and New Patriotic Party (NPP) politician who represented Ahafo Ano South East in the Ashanti Region until 2025, chairing Parliament's Lands and Forestry Committee for much of that time. He was born at Biemso No. 1 on 24 September 1960.

Surveyor and teacher of surveyors

Manu-Adabor trained at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, took a postgraduate diploma at Obafemi Awolowo University in Nigeria and a master's degree at University College London. For almost twenty years, from 1988 to 2007, he headed the survey school in the Ashanti Region. He then moved to the Ghana Cocoa Board as technical manager and sat on the board of Cocoa Processing Company.

A land expert in Parliament

That background shaped his parliamentary work. As chairman of the Lands and Forestry Committee he dealt with land administration, forest reserves and related legislation, and he also sat on the Mines and Energy and Judiciary committees. He was re-elected in 2020 with about 54 percent of the vote. In the constituency he gave roofing sheets and cement to several schools, including Islamic and Catholic basic schools.

A Catholic and father of five, he left Parliament in January 2025 after the NDC's Yakubu Mohammed won the seat.
