Gifty Eugenia Kusi is a sociologist and health researcher who represented Tarkwa-Nsuaem in the Western Region for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for sixteen years, from 2001 to 2017, and served as Deputy Western Regional Minister. She was born on 11 February 1958 and comes from Nsuaem-Tarkwa.
Kusi earned an MPhil in sociology at the University of Ghana in 1999 and was principal research assistant in the Department of Community Health at the University of Ghana Medical School at Korle Bu. She won Tarkwa-Nsuaem in 2000 and held it through four parliaments, sitting on the Business, Gender and Children and Health committees. She worships at the Church of Pentecost and is married with four children. Issa Salifu Taylor of the NDC holds the seat today.
