Hafisata Amaleboba

Hafisata Amaleboba is a Justice of the Supreme Court of Ghana, sworn in at Jubilee House in July 2025. She was born in Accra on 7 June 1973 and comes from Wa in the Upper West Region.

She went to St Rose's Secondary School in Akwatia, graduated in law from the University of Ghana in 1996 and was called to the bar in October 1998. After working as a teaching assistant at the law faculty she practised with Justking and Associates and Peasah-Boadu and Company, and in 2008 co-founded Amal Law Consult, where she was managing partner.

She joined the High Court in August 2014, sitting in the general, land and family divisions and on a treason trial, and was appointed to the Court of Appeal in 2022. She represented the Judicial Service on the Legal Service Board of the Attorney-General's department. At her Supreme Court vetting she rejected claims that family law favours women in divorce, citing a case in which she awarded a woman's property to her husband.
