Mzbel

Belinda Nana Ekua Amoah, better known as Mzbel, is a Ghanaian hiplife artist, radio presenter and actress born on 26 December 1979. She is widely regarded as one of the pioneering female voices in Ghana’s hiplife movement, having emerged in the early 2000s at a time when women in the genre were a rare sight.

Her debut single “16 Years” became one of the most talked-about Ghanaian songs of its era, cementing her status as a bold and uncompromising artist. She later established Mzbel Music and the Bel Group, expanding her footprint into media and business. She is also the founder of Bel Eye Media and has served as a global ambassador for persons with disabilities.

Beyond music, Mzbel has appeared in several Ghanaian films and maintained a presence in radio broadcasting. Her outspoken personality and longevity in the entertainment industry have made her one of the most recognisable women in Ghanaian popular culture.
