Samuel Kwame Adibu Asiedu

Samuel Kwame Adibu Asiedu is a Justice of the Supreme Court of Ghana, sworn in on 28 December 2022. He was born in Accra on 9 April 1966.

He took his O levels at City Secondary and Business College and his A levels at Accra Academy, read law at the University of Ghana and was called to the bar in 1992, winning the Sam Okudzeto prize for legal accountancy. He later studied public administration at GIMPA and took an LLM in international maritime law at Swansea University in 2013.

After two years as a legal officer at CHRAJ he joined the Judicial Service as a magistrate in 1996, became a circuit judge in 2002 and a High Court judge in 2006, sitting on the automated Fast Track High Court and the Commercial Court in Accra. He was on the High Court for thirteen years before joining the Court of Appeal in 2019, a pace Speaker Alban Bagbin called "so slow" when Parliament approved him for the Supreme Court. He has also taught at the Ghana School of Law.
