About Tina Gifty Naa Ayeley Mensah
Tina Gifty Naa Ayeley Mensah is a businesswoman who represented Weija-Gbawe in Accra for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for two terms, from 2017 to 2025, and was Deputy Minister for Health. She was born in Jamestown, Accra, on 23 January 1964.
She went to Accra Girls Secondary School and studied public administration and international relations at GIMPA, and ran Gemens Company in Mamprobi. She won the new Weija-Gbawe seat in 2016 and again in 2020 with 52.4 percent of the vote. President Akufo-Addo appointed her Deputy Minister for Health in March 2017. In the 2024 NPP primary she lost to Jerry Ahmed Shaib, who holds the seat today. She is married with three children.
