Emmanuel Nii Okai Laryea

Emmanuel Nii Okai Laryea is a businessman who represented Amasaman in the Greater Accra Region for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for two terms, from 2013 to 2021, and was the youngest MP when he entered Parliament. He was born in Accra on 16 August 1983 and is a grandson of Harry Dodoo.

He studied political science and information studies at the University of Ghana and was chief executive of Commanex Investment. He won the new Amasaman seat in 2012 and held it in 2016 with 49.8 percent of the vote. He was vice-chairman of the Gender and Social Protection Committee in the Sixth Parliament and sat on the Environment and House committees in the Seventh. He later sought the NDC ticket in Odododiodio.
