About Eric Osei-Owusu
Eric Osei-Owusu is a former head of the National Food Buffer Stock Company (NAFCO) who represented Afram Plains South in the Eastern Region for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) from 2017 to 2021. He was born on 11 September 1963 and comes from Kwanim.
Osei-Owusu studied at Voronezh State University in Russia and took a business degree at Middlesex University in Britain. He ran NAFCO, the state agency that buys and stores grain, before entering Parliament. As MP he deployed 100 teachers to support schools in the constituency. He lost the 2019 NDC primary to Joseph Appiah Boateng, who holds the seat today.
