Ernest Yaw Anim

Ernest Yaw Anim is a Ghanaian accountant and politician born on 31 January 1985 in Kumawu in the Ashanti Region, who serves as the Member of Parliament for the Kumawu constituency. 2024 re-election

He retained the Kumawu seat in the December 2024 general election with 21,464 votes representing 76.15 per cent of the vote, against the NDC's Kwasi Amankwaa who received 6,723 votes representing 23.85 per cent. His increased majority from the by-election to the general election, and his 76-per-cent landslide in a year that saw the NPP suffer a heavy national defeat, underscored the exceptionally strong personal and party support base he commands in Kumawu. He sits in the NPP's minority bench in the Ninth Parliament, having been born in the constituency he represents and maintaining roots there that his electoral performance reflects.
