About Yaw Baah
Yaw Baah is a lawyer who represented Kumawu in the Ashanti Region for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for two terms, from 2005 to 2013. He was born on 17 November 1959 and comes from Kumawu.
He studied economics and political science at the University of Ghana, graduating in 1986, and read law at Lincoln's Inn in London. He was director of Denwest Legal Consultancy Services in London. He won Kumawu in 2004 with 70 percent of the vote and held it in 2008. Philip Atta Basoah followed him for the NPP in 2013. He is a Methodist, married with two children. Ernest Yaw Anim of the NPP holds Kumawu today.
