About George Kofi Arthur
George Kofi Arthur is an educationist and broadcaster who represented Amenfi Central in the Western Region for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for three terms, from 2005 to 2017. He was born at Agona Amenfi on 24 February 1969.
He holds a Bachelor of Education in technology from the University of Education, Winneba, and an executive master's in governance and leadership from GIMPA, and was managing director of Mynd FM in Kumasi. He won Amenfi Central in 2004 by a narrow margin over Peter Yaw Kwakye-Ackah of the NPP, and held it in 2008 and 2012. Kwakye-Ackah, by then with the NDC, followed him in 2017. Joana Gyan Cudjoe of the NDC holds the seat today.
