About Kwame Osei-Prempeh
Kwame Osei-Prempeh is a lawyer who represented Nsuta-Kwamang-Beposo in the Ashanti Region for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for four terms, from 1997 to 2013. He was born at Kwamang on 19 December 1957.
He studied social science at KNUST, graduating in 1982, and qualified as a lawyer at the Ghana School of Law in 1989, then practised with Sarpong Legal Services in Kumasi. He won the seat in 1996 and his share of the vote rose at every election, to almost 70 percent in 2008. In 2012 Kwame Asafu-Adjei took over as the NPP's MP. He joined the board of GOIL in 2017 and became its acting managing director and group chief executive in June 2019. He is a Seventh-day Adventist, married with four children. Adelaide Ntim of the NPP holds the seat today.
