He holds a master's in automatic control engineering from the Universidad Central de Las Villas in Cuba. He was a projects engineer at the Tema Oil Refinery from 1997 to 2002, a project manager at RAM Engineering and managing director of KABK Engineering. He beat the NPP's Catherine Afeku in 2012, and she beat him in turn in 2016. He is married with three children. Kofi Arko Nokoe of the NDC holds the seat today.
