Michael Teye Nyuanu

Michael Teye Nyuanu, known as MTN, is a businessman who represented Lower Manya Krobo in the Eastern Region for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for four terms, from 1997 to 2013, and was a Deputy Speaker of the ECOWAS Parliament. He was born at Manya Kpogunor on 13 June 1955.

An accounts officer by training with a postgraduate certificate and an executive master's from GIMPA, he runs a transport business. He won Lower Manya Krobo in 1996 with 59.5 percent of the vote and held it through 2008. After a falling-out with the local party he was suspended by the NDC, and in 2012 he stood as an independent. Ebenezer Okletey Terlabi of the NDC has held the seat since 2013. He is a Baptist, married with four children.
