Samuel Erickson Abakah is a lawyer who represented Shama in the Western Region for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) from January 2021 to January 2025. He was born on 10 October 1959 and comes from Abuesi.
Abakah qualified as a barrister in 2000 and heads Ogyefo Chambers. In 2020 he defeated the sitting MP, Ato Panford, in the NPP primary and went on to win the seat with about 51 percent of the vote. Emelia Arthur of the National Democratic Congress won Shama in 2024.
